"I was convinced that my hunt at Bright Star would be a disappointment. Cold dreary weather was on the forecast for that weekend a month after the rut had started—great for ducks and geese but poor for deer. I think over the 3 days we hunted there were only 3 or 4 breaks in the rain, and those were 30 or 45 minutes at best. But regardless of the rain, the place was busting out with great bucks. Everyone in the group of hunters passed on many a decent buck, waiting for the best buck. We waited in the most comfortable stands, dry and warm enough. We had a variety of terrain to hunt, whether long shots or short, hills or flat, lake views or not. When we weren’t hunting, we had great accommodations, with all the cooking, grilling, and fire pit amenities. Great TVs for watching the game, and comfortable rooms. We took a tour of the whole place and saw their wedding facilities: very nice! Expect to be entertained by the stories the guides tell! A great place I want to revisit!"

"Looking for a day of action filled fishing? Your destination is Bright Star Ranch. My son Kyle and I spent an hour fishing from the bank on a beautiful 25 acre lake, in 1 hour we pulled in 20+ bass ranging from 3-7 pounds. We never went more than a few casts before the next one was on the line.
